Merry Christmas

This was our third Christmas together for Jose, the boys, and I. Jose and I went to church with Charlie, Laura, and Emily on Christmas Eve. Laura had a wonderful solo during the service. After the service we headed over to his parent's house for their Christmas celebration. The boys really made out from the Grandparent's and their Aunt's and Uncle's. Jose's mom got us our first Nativity Scene and a much wanted Toaster oven.

Christmas Day was a day of rest. We all woke up in the morning to watch Emily open her presents. I didn't know a kid could take so long to open presents. After that was finished Charlie, Laura, and Emily headed to Oglebay for an overnite, leaving the house to myself. Jose and I spent the day watching "A Christmas Story" about a thousand times before we picked up the boys that evening. The boys each got new bedspreads for their new beds they will be getting in March and alot of clothes. This year Jose and I were blessed in being able to get them each a "big gift."









Cameron's big gift this year was a new bike. This past summer he told Charlie that he didn't need any training wheels and just started to ride a bike that had been given to Charlie for Emily. It was a little small for him so when I found this a Meijer I just had to get it. He wanted to go out and ride it that night in the driveway, but only after he put on his Spiderman helmet.

A couple from our church was getting rid of their son's drum set that was taking up too much space in their basement. They remembered Bub's love for playing the drums at church and gave them to Jose and I for a gift from us. We no need to invest in a soundproof apartment. He was super excited and can't wait to start lessons.

All I got was a bag of Doritos, and they weren't even my favorite, Cool Ranch!

Uncle Phil's Diner ~ Eastside Vineyard Church Production

Back in the end of October our good friend, Sue Laney, asked Jose and I if we went to be in the Christmas play at our church. We both eagerly said yes not knowing what were were getting ourselves into. Jose ended up with the lead role, PJ the DJ. I took on a smaller role with only 2 lines, but managed to sign myself up to heading the food committee. I was the food committee!! After weeks of 3 hour Sunday practices, small skits, learning a dance number, shopping, and many others we finally put out on our productions on Thursday and Friday. It was exhausting when it was all said and done, but a wonderful experience. My parent's even made the long drive in from PA to see the show on Friday. The "diner staff" even chose my parents for a game and got my dad to show off his prop holding skills.

The Soon to be...Byers Bunch

Jose and I are counting down the days till the union of our family. The wedding date is quickly approaching and with each day we are getting more and more excited. I know that we are not offically the Byers Bunch, but I wanted all of our friends and family to be able to keep up on the process of the wedding and what is going on in our lives.
