Boppy Exercises

Jose and I tried to put Karley in the boppy one afternoon for some tummy time. She is supposed to work on holding up her head to strenghten her neck and then her arms too. Karley however likes to work on her legs. We aren't sure if she thinks they need the most work or what.

5 wks old

Our precious baby girl is 5 wks old today!!!

Karley is definitely Daddy's little princess. You can usually find Karley and I sitting in the recliner when Jose gets home from the gym. As soon as she hears the door open she immediately begins to look around to find Jose. She is beginning to follow objects in front of her and loves to smack at her oldest brother's face when he gets close to her. She is going to be a fast mover when she's older.

Snug as a.....

(Griz)bug in a rug. Karley really loves her cradle. I was able to catch her napping soundly.

Below are some photos of the cradle when we were waiting to fill it with our precious bundle.

A great big thanks to Don for making this for me..Love Karley Jane!!!

Cameron and Emily's Photoshoot

After the Harvest Party we all went back to Charlie and Laura's house for a bit. I made the mistake of giving my camera to Emily and Cameron. They had a blast taking photos. I was cleaning up in the kitchen so I wasn't sure what I would find on my camera. I thought I would share their skills with everyone.

P.S. Hol and Chris..you might have some competition with quality shots.

EVC Fall Harvest Bash '09

On Saturday, our church held their annual Harvest Party. The kids had a great time. We took our niece, Emily, with us this year so Mommy and Daddy could stay home with new baby Ben. Emily did go around with Uncle Jose for the "Trunk-or-Treat", but then spent the rest of the time running up and down the small hill and then over to me at the van. She did get a small amount of candy to take home. Cameron, Jose, and Bub spent their time inside staying warm. From what I hear, Cameron didn't leave the bouncy house.

She is definately a lil' ham!

Cameron, aka Batman, rockin' his muscles.

Our big, lil, man..Bub

Cowboy Jose and Ms. Sue

I couldn't get Emily to stand up to get a good picture after we took her home.

This was her "cheese" face.

That would be chocolate milk on her face, not "cupcakes" Gimmy.

A pioneer girl and the bumblebee.

Welcome Baby Ben

Benjamin Edward Groff was born on Tuesday, October 27th at 7:06am. He weighted in at 8lbs. 150z and is 19.5 inches long. Both Baby Ben and Mommy are doing fine.

Uncle Jose and Ben. We have deemed Uncle Jose, the Baby Whisperer.

If you take the hat off, he has a full head of dark brown hair. Very cute!

He is already taken on qualities of his daddy! He has his tongue sticking out already in concentration.

Mud Bogging....in a Corolla???

This past Saturday we were invited to a Halloween party at one of Jose's friends house. Jose pulled into the yard to park, which turned out to not be a good idea. After about an hour of pushing, all the muscle men finally got the car out of the yard. Thank goodness my belly is still small enough to fit behind the wheel of his car and no labor was induced during the ordeal! :)

Baby Shower #2

On Friday, Oct 9th, Jose's work held a baby shower for Baby Byers. His co-worker, Gina, did all of the planning and it was such a nice treat for Jose and I. Everyone had a chance to play two games for prizes and then we all had a nice lunch, followed by a delicious cake and lots of presents!!! Thank you so much Gina for everything you planned for us. And to Jose's co-workers for all the wonderful gifts for Baby Byers!!!
