Welcome Baby Ben

Benjamin Edward Groff was born on Tuesday, October 27th at 7:06am. He weighted in at 8lbs. 150z and is 19.5 inches long. Both Baby Ben and Mommy are doing fine.

Uncle Jose and Ben. We have deemed Uncle Jose, the Baby Whisperer.

If you take the hat off, he has a full head of dark brown hair. Very cute!

He is already taken on qualities of his daddy! He has his tongue sticking out already in concentration.

Mud Bogging....in a Corolla???

This past Saturday we were invited to a Halloween party at one of Jose's friends house. Jose pulled into the yard to park, which turned out to not be a good idea. After about an hour of pushing, all the muscle men finally got the car out of the yard. Thank goodness my belly is still small enough to fit behind the wheel of his car and no labor was induced during the ordeal! :)

Baby Shower #2

On Friday, Oct 9th, Jose's work held a baby shower for Baby Byers. His co-worker, Gina, did all of the planning and it was such a nice treat for Jose and I. Everyone had a chance to play two games for prizes and then we all had a nice lunch, followed by a delicious cake and lots of presents!!! Thank you so much Gina for everything you planned for us. And to Jose's co-workers for all the wonderful gifts for Baby Byers!!!

PumpkinFest 2009/Ohiopyle, PA

The first full weekend in October is PumpkinFest in my hometown of Confluence, PA. I have always made a habit of going in that weekend to visit with family and friends. Since Jose and I have been together we have now made it a family event and take the kids in with us. This year, we became brave and brought my niece, Emily, in with us.
On Saturday, my cousin and her daughter came down for the day. We packed everyone into the cars and heading to Ohiopyle for lunch and to walk around the falls. On the way back home we stopped into the festival for some Pumpkin Ice Cream and to see what PumkpinFest had to offer. The kids all got their face or hand painted for free. After a trip around the park we heading home to relax and visit while the kids took advantage of not having to wear shoes and getting as dirty as possible.
Sunday we had a delicious lunch prepared by my Mom and then headed up the The Shooting Academy to say our goodbyes to Pappy. Before we left, Pappy gave us a quick ride on the clay cart to tease the bull elk in rut and then to the pond. It was a great weekend and we had good weather. God truly blessed us with a good weekend.

Baby Shower photos for Gina.

These are photos from the slide show, but I have had some request to post some of the photos since not everyone has been able to view the slide show. (Enjoy Gina!)
