A Weekend for 30

I don't think I could have been more suprised or excited for my 30th birthday weekend.  I previous had a small inkling that my husband was planning something, but I wasn't for sure.  I really did not know how he would pull anything off, especially since I hardly EVER leave the house.  With a lil' help from my family he did it, and I'm so glad that he did.
My seester-in-law just happened to be in town for her birthday (just two days before mine) and wanted to get the kids together for some play time at McDonalds after work on Friday (AKA keep Kristen out of the house).  At about 5:45ish we loaded the kids up and away we go.

SUPRISE!!!!!!

I'm not able to put up the slideshow and there are too many photos to post.  Click on the link above to check it out.

Idlewild

Jose and I decided to take a weekend into PA to spend some time with my family.  We spent Saturday at Idlewild and the kids had a blast.  The afternoon was spent mostly on the "horsie swings" until it was time to go.  Thankfully we had my Mom with us, so the 3 of us took turns.  Luckily we didn't get dizzy.  We had some fun times, but my battery died before we made it into the main park.  I only got photos from Jumpin' Jungle. (Sorry Aunt Holly!!!)

Mommy~Bitty Day

I had the chance to take Karley for some "Just Mom and I" time today.  I haven't been to the zoo in a long time, so I decided to take Karley.  It was packed since it was a Saturday and it was Teddy Bear day.  Nationwide Children's Hospital sponsored Teddy Bear day.  Karley was excited because she was able to get a tattoo of some "bufferflys"!

I had to drag her past the Carousel to go see the Monkey's.  She was scared of the big gorilla at first, but then warmed up to them.  It was a site to see.  After that we went back to the Carousel for her to get a couple of rides in.  When it was time to go, I had to bribe her with some Dip-n-Dots ice cream.  It was a great trip and I look forward to taking her back again, maybe on a less crowded day.

She's the next Rapunzle.

Karley has some of the curliest hair I have every seen!  My having poker straight hair, I don't know what to do with her hair half the time.  She has beautiful bannana curls in the back.  Jose and I haven't taken her to get her hair cut just yet and it's down past the halfway point of her back when it's straight.  She sat still enough for me to come it out after her bath tonight so that I could see how long it really is.

This is Karley as she's saying "Cheeeessseeeee!"

As you can see, her hair is starting to curl already.

Cheers!

When I was in 2nd grade my family and I took a vacation to Florida.  We bought at small coffee mug for my Grandparent's that they always used to keep toothpicks in.  I inherited all of the items from my Grandma's kitchen, including this miniature coffee mug.  Karley loves to drink "coofey" with her Daddy so this is the perfect cup for her.  She loves to sit on Saturday mornings and "cheers".

My Seester's First Marathon ~ A Race for our Dad.

This past Sunday, Holly completed her first Half Marathon.  She was running for Team Fox, in honor of our Dad.  I'm so proud of my seester!!!!!  It being in Montana I wasn't able to see her cross the finish line, but I'm hoping to see the next one.  Congratulations, Holly!!!  We all love you!

Team Fox - Goal Achieved!

What started out at a small goal, turned into setting Holly's goals higher, three times!  It's been achieved, with a lil extra.
