The bathroom...

This is the boy's/spare bathroom. Jose' really likes light houses and at his last apartment his mom suprised him for his birthday and all the decor for his bathrrom. We kept it since the boys really like it for thier bathroom.

If you look closely at the small mirror on the left you can see a stained glass window hanging. It's of a light house, compliments of Momma Byers.

This is for Holly...

Last weekend with the help of our wonderful family and friends, Jose moved into our new apartment. It started out at 1 degree in the morning and only got to about 15 the entire day and add in some wind, but we managed to get everything moved in on one day.
Holly has been bugging me to post photos of the new apartment, but I have been refusing to post anything till I got things put together how we want them. I finally got a section of the apartment completed last night. So Holly this is for you...

The Squeeze Bowling Party

Bubba's Sunday School teach had a bowling party for the class. There was such a great turnout and the kids really enjoyed themselves. The adults did as well. Due to such a great number for kids that showed up for the event we had to divide for bowling. The boys shot some pool with the dads first while the girls took there spin at bowling. After the games they switched.

Lots of thanks to Miss Penny for putting the event together!! A great time was had by all.

Snow Day

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of getting a snow day. Seeing how Ohio doesn't get alot of snow everyone goes into panic mode with just an inch or two. When they had 8 no one goes anywhere. I was called off of work due to a Level 2 warning for our county. (Ohio has levels before you get to a State of Emergency and it goes by county.) It was fairly cold out so we didn't stay out too long, but we did enjoy our time out in the snow/ice.

Emily didn't weight enough to break thru the ice to get to the other snow. I fell right thru it as I walked so she always walked where I hadn't. It was very comical.

While Jose's birthday was yesterday due to the weather we haven't been able to celebrate. I'll let him blow out the candles (on the cake he can't eat) tonight when he comes over.

Emily was in my bed last night playing with my money when I had to run downstairs to grab something quick. I was unpacking from my trip to PA and had a nicely wrapped bar of soap that my sister had gotten my from Montana. When I came back up to my room this is what I found.

Happy New Years from PA!!

This year Jose and I were blessed to be able to take the boys in to PA for a few days to celebrate Christmas and the New Years with my family. We traveled the 4+ hours on New Years Eve to find snow when we got about 10 mins from the old homestead. After relaxing for a bit we traveled to a friends house to welcome in the New Year. The boys had a fun time as I only saw them emerge from the gameroom once to fill up their stomachs. New Years day we spent the day with Gommy (my gram) and came home that evening to take the boys sled riding for the first time. It was night time so I couldn't take any good pictures.
On Saturday we had my family's Christmas celebration since we were ALL together. I can't remember the last time that the entire family has been together. My Uncle Wall and his family, along with Gommy, my best friend and her sister, and my adopted brother Mike all came down for the day. It was wonderful to eat a homecooked meal by my Momma and just relax for the day with everyone.
My sister has always asked for footie pajamas for a while, but we have never seen them. I got a JC Penny's catalog this year and they had them. She models them below with her "Build-A-Bear" Moose that my parent's got her. It's her Montana mascot.

On our way home we all stopped at The Shooting Academy to say goodbye to my dad. It was a bit foggy, but we were still able to see the elk. Only the cows were up near the barn, but then my dad returned to say that the bull was down a ways laying down. All the kids jumped on the "Clay Cart" to go see. I think the ride was the highlight of the day for them.
It was a long and quiet car ride home to Ohio on Sunday.
