Fun with Family

Karley and I sent a Saturday morning with the Groff's.  At one point Ben decided that it would be a good idea to squeeze into the toy basket.  I'm not sure how he did it, but he did.

Karley was getting a bit sleepy and crawled up on my lap.  Next thing I knew Emily and Ben wanted up too.  Of course we had to have the warmest (and coolest) blanket to snuggle with.

I kept Cameron and Karley home from church this past Sunday since they were both sick.  We had rented Toy Story 3 the night before, but Cameron fell asleep before we could watch it.  He asked to watch it the next morning and to my amazement, Karley watched it with him.  This only last for about 15mins, but I was pretty impressed she lasted that long. I love when my kids snuggle together.

15 months

This month has been a "tornado" to say the least.  Karley is not into everything in our house.  She is figuring out a way to reach everything if she gets on her tippy-toes.  It seems as tho nothing is safe anymore.  She loves to "read" her books.  We are making it a habit now for Mommy to read her a few pages in her Bible and a book before bed each night.  I'm hoping she becomes a reader like her cousin, Sammi!  :)  She is now pointing at things she wants.  That usually is the bowl of candy (chocolate) that sits on our kitchen counter.  It has now went to the top of the fridge since Daddy and her brothers are suck softies and will give in to her.  Chocolate or Oero's a half hour before her bedtime is NOT a good thing.  She had her 15 month check-up recently.  She comes in at a whopping 22lbs. 7 oz. and is 31in. long.  I'm thinking she is going to be tall, but she does have some nice biceps on her.

Karley loves to flip thru the pages of my childhood bible.  My Grandparent's gave these to me when I was a little girl, and now it is Karley's.  I was hesitant at first to let her have it, but she isn't rough with it as she is with her other books.  She hasn't even attempted to put it in her mouth once!

I'm having problems with my computer/camera with the formatting of my photos.  You're just going to have to tilt your heads till I can figure this out and get the photos fixed.  My apologizes!

Random Moments

Momma Bear and Pappy got Cameron a hat of Troys hair for Christmas this year.  He's grown out of his old Troy jersey so Gommy got him a new one.  We had a Steelers Sunday to get ready for the Baltimore game and he just had to have his photo taken with my Troy Bobble head.  We thought Troy was at our house to visit for a bit.

Jose got to stay home with Karley one day this week, while I had to work.  He noticed that she got quiet and that usually means she's into something she shouldn't be.  When he called her name she started to jabbering, but he still didn't see her.  Then he looked down.  She loves her Lady Bug Pillow pet from Uncle Dan and Auntie Sue!!  Too cute!

14 months

It is so hard to believe that our little lady bug is 14 months old already.  This past month has been interesting to say the least.  Karley loves to move things around.  Any time that she gets let loose upstairs she can be found in her room pulling her socks from one drawer to the other.  She is still very vocal.  While we have no clue still what she is saying, she is working on getting her sounds down.  Dada is her favorite.

13 months

Karley has become such the chatterbox this last month.  She may not be making much sense to us, but she is definitely telling a story in her mind.  She really does crack us up, especially since she is a hands talker.  Karley is soaking in everything these days.  It's fun to see how she watches everything to figure things out.  It's both good and bad, as we are trying to keep her out of the cabinets.  Her favorite thing to do these days are to pull everything out of the cabinet in the entertainment stand to see if she can get in there.  I finally got smart and just removed everything in there.  It is now known as "Karley's Space".  I finally caught her climbing in there and shutting the door behind her.  I'll see if I can post that video from my phone somehow.

Getting Our Christmas Tree

This is our first Christmas in our new house this year.  I am so excited to have the fresh smell of pine.  Despite being stuck so many times growing up, I just can't go to a fake tree.  Aunt Holly came over early in the morning to take me and the boys to Hickory Ridge Tree Farms to get our tree.  It's just a few miles from our house and a nice place.  We got our saw, or as Cameron liked to call it, our "weapon" and headed off.  Learning from a past experience with Charlie, we started at the front of the farm first.  We found our tree right at the front (yea for not having to drag it too far)!  It fit right into Holly's truck and down the road we went.  Until next year...
