13 months

Karley has become such the chatterbox this last month.  She may not be making much sense to us, but she is definitely telling a story in her mind.  She really does crack us up, especially since she is a hands talker.  Karley is soaking in everything these days.  It's fun to see how she watches everything to figure things out.  It's both good and bad, as we are trying to keep her out of the cabinets.  Her favorite thing to do these days are to pull everything out of the cabinet in the entertainment stand to see if she can get in there.  I finally got smart and just removed everything in there.  It is now known as "Karley's Space".  I finally caught her climbing in there and shutting the door behind her.  I'll see if I can post that video from my phone somehow.

Getting Our Christmas Tree

This is our first Christmas in our new house this year.  I am so excited to have the fresh smell of pine.  Despite being stuck so many times growing up, I just can't go to a fake tree.  Aunt Holly came over early in the morning to take me and the boys to Hickory Ridge Tree Farms to get our tree.  It's just a few miles from our house and a nice place.  We got our saw, or as Cameron liked to call it, our "weapon" and headed off.  Learning from a past experience with Charlie, we started at the front of the farm first.  We found our tree right at the front (yea for not having to drag it too far)!  It fit right into Holly's truck and down the road we went.  Until next year...

12 months!!!

Our little lady bug is growing so fast!!  It is so hard for me to believe that on this date at 10:18pm I hearing the doctor and nurses tell Jose to look again because it wasn't a boy!!!  We have enjoyed having a little princess in the family for the past year and are so excited about the years to come.
Karley is officially into everything now that she has mastered walking.  A gate has now been placed across the bottom of the stairs now.  If someone forgets to put it back, it takes Karley about 2 secs to figure out that the stairs are now her's to conquer.  She does good climbing them, but only when someone is behind her do we let her go up them herself.  She's also up to 7 1/2 teeth.  I say half because one hasn't made it's full appearance just yet.

Double the First Birthday Fun!

11 Months!!!

Oh what fun 11 months has brought us in the Byers household.  Karley is such a ball of energy, joy, and more energy.  She has started walking!!!  We are still working with her, but she will take about 2 steps and then to the ground she will go.  The most she has taken were 5 steps to her big brother, Bubba.  She will go anything for the boys in this family, but not so much mamma.  She is defenatly turning into a Daddy's little girl for sure.

Jeepers, creepers, where'd ya get those peepers?!?!

9 months old

It is so hard to believe that our baby girl is now 9 months old!  We enjoy every minute that we can with her as it seems she is growing up way too fast!  She started crawling at 7 1/2 months and continues to get a faster speed as she gets older.  She is pulling herself up on anything that she can hold onto and can walk along the endges of the couch and chairs.  She's not too much into walking when we hold her hands tho.  She has her two bottom teeth and has one on the top poking its way thru.  She is a lil' piggy when it comes to eating.  Her brothers love to feed her goldfish and she is more than willing to take them.  Karley is such a good baby and we have been so blessed with her.  We are so excited to see what the future brings for her.
